The paintings of Dr. Yuhua Shouzhi Wang are sending shock waves through the art world. Dr. Wang is a uniquely distinguished artist of exquisite skills and transcendental artistic conception. Her ink paintings are characterized by a divine and natural artistic conception. Her compositions are audacious and generous, with powerful energy expressed through the fluidity of the ink yet without a trace of the brush, exhibiting a noble style and magnificent conception filled with vivacious energy.
Professor Stephen Farthing, a Royal Academician of the Royal Academy of Arts in the United Kingdom, and the former Rootstein Hopkins Research Chair of Drawing at the University of the Arts in London—commented that “Dr. Wang’s paintings may draw heavily on the traditions of Eastern art but they present themselves as extraordinarily Western ideas and images…Dr. Wang’s paintings very elegantly bring two forces together—the force that rejects perspective and the force of Photorealism…Professor Wang’s paintings reach across cultures to celebrate the space that exists intellectually and emotionally between representation and abstraction, between a fact and an idea.”
In 2013, a group of expert led by President George On. Christophides of the World Federation of UNESCO Clubs, Centers, and Associations (WFUCA) highly commended Dr. Yuhua Wang’s art and named her works “2013WFUCA.”
Dr. Yuhua Shouzhi Wang Art Exhibition, organized by the Shanghai International Cultural Exchange Association Gallery (上海中外文化艺术交流协会美术馆主办), and co-organized by Shanghai Xu Beihong Art Research Club (上海徐悲鸿艺术研究会), Shanghai University International Art Exchange Center (上海高校艺术交流中心), and Rare Art Inc. of U.S.A.（美国稀世艺术公司), will open 1pm on May 18 in Shanghai International Cultural Exchange Association Gallery.
