Ten years after the launch of the first Evo R4, Evo Yachts celebrates a major milestone with a bold new model that reflects the shipyard’s evolution while staying true to its founding DNA. The R4 Icone is a tribute to the past and a leap into the future, offering unmatched onboard comfort, sportiness, and bespoke customisation, all hallmarks of the Evo Yachts experience.

The new Evo R4 Icone will make its world debut at the Cannes Yachting Festival 2025. With a hull approximately one metre longer than the original R4, a more aggressive bow, redesigned air intakes, and expansive hull-side windows, the Icone promises a striking profile and light-flooded interiors that elevate the onboard lifestyle.

Co-designed by Evo Yachts and Valerio Rivellini, the R4 Icone is built for year-round comfort without sacrificing performance. The main deck features an enclosed area beneath an aluminium hard top – entirely constructed by the shipyard – that integrates seamlessly with a helm console inspired by automotive design. A C-shaped sofa, adjustable pilot seat, convertible table/bed, kitchen unit, and pantograph door for smooth outdoor access round out the space, making it as practical as it is elegant.

At the stern, the XT platform, developed with Besenzoni, enhances onboard livability. It expands the aft deck and lowers closer to the water, transforming into a customisable seafront terrace ideal for any time of day.

Below deck, the R4 Icone houses two spacious double cabins, plus a hallway with fridge and storage area. Materials such as Alcantara, Alpi wood, and textured finishes lend a sense of refined warmth, creating an inviting and luxurious ambiance.

The yacht is powered by two Volvo IPS 650 engines (480 hp each), delivering dynamic performance to match its elegant looks.

True to Evo Yachts’ philosophy, the R4 Icone is highly customisable, both inside and out. Whether for families, social groups, or sea lovers who cruise all year round, the R4 Icone adapts to its owner’s lifestyle and preferences.

In line with Evo Yachts’ typical style, the edgy black aluminium top heightens the appeal of a profile that echoes sports car design. The sleekly contoured helm station is completely surrounded by windows that fill it with light like the entire Main Deck, offering a 360-degree view and featuring openings designed to provide natural ventilation.

A day area with a versatile lounge, a well-appointed galley and a dining table completes the Main Deck, which is literally flooded with natural light and ideal for enjoying total conviviality at any time of day and in any weather. Another galley on the Lower Deck has a roomy wine storage unit and a large fridge. The Mercuri brothers’ shipyard has always designed boats with flexible layouts to satisfy the requirements of the most demanding owners. On the Evo R+, for example, it’s also possible to opt for a single galley on the main deck that’s larger than the one in the model displayed in Cannes and with the dinette moved to the Lower Deck.

The inviting and fully appointed stern area – with a very spacious sun pad that converts into a table and a large bar unit with a fridge, icemaker and generous sink – also has an innovative platform specially designed for this model to make it easy to enter the water and to launch and haul up a tender or jet ski.

Below deck, we find the essential and dynamic style typical of many boats in this range, expressed by clean and simple angular lines. The interiors are furnished with sophisticated materials that reflect the shipyard’s new drive to achieve the perfect balance between dynamism and onboard comfort. Fabrics are warm, like Alcantara, and the colour palette is built around a harmony of three colours and materials: white, teak and carbon. Forged carbon fibre has been chosen to point up the sporty appeal of the interior decor.

The Lower Deck of the unit on show at Cannes features three cabins (the owner’s cabin forward and two guest cabins aft), two bathrooms and a dining area. The independently accessed crew cabin is forward.

In perfect Evo style, the meticulous design can be seen every detail, whether aesthetic or functional, and convertibility plays a key role, as always, from the layout modification options to the stern area designed to amaze guests with sumptuous liveability and comfort, including even more direct contact with the sea.

The decision to opt for an aluminium hull and topside and a carbon fibre superstructure to offer increasingly custom production also reflects the brand’s design philosophy, which aims to experiment with new materials, not least in view of a sharper focus on environmental sustainability.

The design by Valerio Rivellini, who designed the yacht in collaboration with the Yard’s technical office, features a majestic superstructure, completely enclosed in glazed surfaces, and various layout options to meet the different needs of all kinds of owners, who can follow the design process every step of the way as they see their dream yacht transformed into reality.

Evo R9 can comfortably accommodate from six to eight people, plus four members of crew, offering a high level of privacy and settings with various possible layouts.

The propulsion system is another key feature of the new superyacht, with two or three 2,200 HP engines driving the yacht to a top speed of between 50 and 58 knots and a cruising speed of between 40 and 44 knots.

The new Evo Yachts model is designed for an experienced owner who wants a tailor-made boat and loves high-end performance without sacrificing the features that have made the brand famous, first and foremost transformability. In fact, Evo R9 will also be fitted with hull sides that open out – using an even more sophisticated system than on previous boats – and the stern transformer, designed to offer the utmost in versatility, resulting in a highly innovative superyacht but one that immediately reveals the brand identity.

The Shipyard and Valerio Rivellini – who designed the exteriors and interiors – worked together to launch a model on the market that combines extremely liveable exteriors with the comfort of a cabin cruiser. The result is a 13-metre boat with striking styling that also offers exceptional comfort and lets owners enjoy cruises in all weather conditions, using the various areas in different ways, according to their needs, thanks to innovative, modular solutions for the hard top and stern area.

The aluminium hard top is produced in the shipyard and features several removable Plexiglas parts that allow this area to be partially opened, offering different living conditions according to requirements and the weather. As can be seen, this innovative solution offers the benefits of two different types of boat: with the hard top removed, the sensation is of an open yacht connected seamlessly to the surrounding environment, but always with the option of a quick and easy change of scene.

In the beach area, the totally custom multifunctional stern platform adds an extra metre in length to the boat when open, as well as offering a range of different ways to take full advantage of the yacht. This tender lift transformer is the result of collaboration between the Blu Emme shipyard, designer Valerio Rivellini and Besenzoni. The system’s excellent mechanical characteristics and movement mechanisms allow the swim platform to be lowered to about 80 centimetres below the sea’s surface, making it easier to enter or leave the water at any point of the stern, or to be extended completely for safe, convenient access even from high piers. The platform is wide enough to be used as a boarding ladder even with a tender or jet ski moored to it, without having to remove them. The sun sofa island featured in the centre of the beach area is accompanied by a multifunctional sliding dining table.

The premium interiors below deck are functional and can be personalised, offering comfortable settings where the focus is once again on transformability. A door opens onto the finely designed Plexiglas staircase, with a lighting system and large non-slip steps, and leads to a double cabin. Forward of the bathroom is a generous dinette with a kitchen unit large enough to accommodate various appliances, a foldaway table that can be converted into another double bed, and a mirror with a built-in TV.

The generous spaces are in part thanks to the compact Volvo IPS engines and a layout designed with a special focus on ergonomics.

The engines are two 535 HP Volvo Penta IPS 650 units that deliver a top speed of 34 knots and a range of about 300 nautical miles.
